Clarity and a full understanding of what a chart is showing as well as the information that it

provides is important to trading. When you be part of online trading there are three main chart

types of charts that you will face everywhere: On news, signals or on Invest Moment trading platform.

Each chart has their level of information according to the traders’ individual skill level:

Line Chart – This chart is the most basic one, and the stepping stone for the beginner trader. This chart describes

only a closing price over a period of time, the closing price is often considered the most important element in

analyzing data. This chart is formed by the connection of the closing prices over a set time frame. This chart

doesn't provide information for the: trading range, meaning no highs and lows and nothing on opening prices.

Types of trading charts

Bar Chart – We can see the bar chart as an expansion in detail on the line chart, the bar chart incorporates several

additional fragments of information that are attached to each data point on the graph. Built up of a sequence of

vertical lines where each line represents trading information. They describe the highs and lows of the trading period

as well as the opening and closing price.

The open and the close price are visually represented by a horizontal shorter line.

To understand this chart is simple, if the open price is lower than the closing price then the bar will be screened in

green, black or blue and represents a price increase and the instrument gained in value. The opposite is true and the

decreased value of the stock is indicated in red.

Candlestick Chart – You can start to understand this chart when will mastered the line and bar charts. This chart is

similar to the bar chart. The vertical lines of both charts illustrate the trading period’s price ranges, and the body of

the candle uses different colors to represent the market changes of that time period.
